These Terms and Conditions govern access to https://wordmox.com (the Website) and the translation, localisation and other linguistic services supplied under the Wordmox brand. Wordmox is operated by EVOLVECORE LTD, company number 15105004, whose registered address is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom (Wordmox, we, us or our).
Please read these Terms before using the Website or ordering services. By placing an order or otherwise agreeing to receive services from us, you accept these Terms together with the applicable quote, written agreement or confirmed order. If those documents conflict, the specific terms of the quote, written agreement or confirmed order take priority for that order.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory rights available to consumers.
1. Our services
We provide professional language services, which may include:
- text and document translation;
- website and software localisation;
- proofreading and editing;
- technical and specialist translation;
- transcription and subtitling; and
- related linguistic support.
Each project is custom and made to order. Its languages, deliverables, scope, timetable and price are set out in the relevant quote, written agreement or confirmed order. We may decline a proposed project before accepting it.
2. Quotes and orders
A request for information or a quote does not oblige either party to proceed. An order becomes binding when we confirm it or when the parties otherwise enter into a written agreement.
You are responsible for reviewing the order details and promptly telling us about any mistake. A request to change the source material, scope, instructions, format or deadline after confirmation may affect the price or delivery timetable. We will agree any resulting change with you before treating it as part of the order.
3. Your responsibilities
You must:
- provide accurate, complete and sufficiently clear source material, instructions and contact information;
- supply any information, feedback or approval needed for us to carry out the project;
- have all rights, licences, consents and permissions needed for us and those working for us to use the submitted material for the agreed service;
- ensure that the material and intended use do not infringe another person’s rights or breach applicable law; and
- use the Website and our services lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not submit unlawful, defamatory or harmful material. We may refuse, suspend or stop work where materials, instructions or intended use breach applicable law, third-party rights or reasonable ethical standards.
A delay or defect caused by inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or late information from you will not be treated as our failure to perform the service.
4. Prices, currency and payment
The applicable fee is stated in the quote, written agreement or confirmed order. Our base pricing currency is euros (EUR). If another currency is offered, the displayed amount is converted from EUR using an internal exchange rate set and maintained by us. The amount displayed for the selected currency is the amount we charge, and Wordmox does not add a separate currency-conversion fee. Your bank or card issuer may impose its own conversion, cross-border or other charges, for which we are not responsible.
Payment is due in full before work begins unless we agree otherwise in writing. Prices exclude VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. A price change will not alter the agreed price of an already confirmed order unless you request and agree to a change in its scope.
If an agreed payment is overdue, we may delay delivery or suspend work and may charge interest where permitted by law.
Card payments are processed by our payment partner, Empyra Ltd, trading as Velvexpay. We do not store full payment-card details.
5. Delivery
The delivery date or timeframe is agreed for each order and depends on its scope, length and complexity. We will use reasonable efforts to meet the agreed timetable.
We are not responsible for delay caused by your late supply of material, instructions, feedback, approval or payment, or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If such an event affects delivery, we will be entitled to a reasonable extension appropriate to its impact, subject always to any mandatory consumer rights.
6. Cancellations and refunds
The rules below are summarised in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms:
- if you cancel before work starts, any amount already paid for the cancelled order will be refunded in full;
- once work has started, we may charge for work completed and costs incurred, up to the full order price depending on the stage reached;
- after completed work has been delivered, a refund is generally unavailable except where a service error is proven or applicable law requires a remedy;
- an objective-error revision may be requested without charge within 7 calendar days after delivery; and
- a quality complaint or refund request may be submitted within 30 calendar days after delivery.
The 7-day revision period and the 30-day quality/refund claim period are separate. A request made after the free revision period may still be assessed as a quality complaint within the 30-day claim period, but it does not automatically qualify for a free revision.
Any approved refund will be processed within 14 calendar days after approval to the original payment route. Full eligibility, evidence and request details are set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Mandatory statutory cancellation and refund rights are unaffected.
7. Quality review and corrections
If delivered work contains an objective error—such as an omission, typo or mistranslation—you may ask us to correct it without charge by contacting us within 7 calendar days after delivery and identifying the relevant issue. This free revision right does not cover a new brief, changed source material, additional content, or a purely stylistic or preference-based change. Such work may require a new quote.
You may also make a documented quality complaint or refund request within 30 calendar days after delivery. We will assess the source material, agreed instructions, delivered work and examples supplied. Depending on the proven issue, an appropriate outcome may be a correction, a partial refund or a full refund, subject to the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
We or our licensors own the Website and its content, including its text, graphics, logos and software. You may not reproduce, distribute or exploit Website content without our prior written permission except as allowed by law.
You retain ownership of the original material you provide. Once the order has been paid in full, you may use the delivered translated or adapted content for the purpose agreed for the project, subject to any third-party rights in the original material and any different written agreement for the order.
Unless you prohibit this in writing, we may use anonymised excerpts as portfolio or quality-demonstration samples. We will not identify you or disclose confidential information in doing so.
9. Confidentiality and privacy
We treat client documents and non-public project information as confidential. We may disclose them to translators, proofreaders or other service providers only where reasonably necessary to complete the service and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations. Disclosure may also be made where required by law.
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we use reasonable measures intended to protect the information entrusted to us.
10. Website availability and acceptable use
We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the Website where reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
You must not attempt to disrupt the Website, introduce malicious code, obtain unauthorised access, misuse another user’s information or use Website content in violation of intellectual-property rights or applicable law.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that qualification and to mandatory consumer rights, we are not liable for:
- an error or omission resulting from source material or instructions that were inaccurate, incomplete or unclear;
- loss caused by your use of the work outside the agreed purpose or contrary to our instructions;
- indirect or consequential loss; or
- loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or data arising from use of, or inability to use, the Website or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a particular service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
If you use the services in the course of a business, you are responsible for losses, claims and reasonable costs caused by material you provide or instructions you give that unlawfully infringe third-party rights, or by your unlawful misuse of the Website or services.
12. Suspension and ending an order
We may suspend access or performance, refuse further work, or end an order if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive activity, submit prohibited material, or fail to make a required payment. Where the breach can be remedied, we may give you a reasonable opportunity to do so where appropriate.
Ending an order does not affect rights and obligations that arose before it ended, including payment for work properly completed and costs properly incurred. Sections intended by their nature to continue—including confidentiality, intellectual property, liability and governing law—remain effective.
13. Events outside reasonable control
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, industrial action, war, government restrictions, serious illness or technical failures. This does not excuse payment already due or limit rights that applicable law makes mandatory.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect legal, operational or service changes. The current version will be posted on the Website with its last-updated date. Revised Terms apply prospectively and do not change an already confirmed order unless the parties agree otherwise or the law requires the change.
15. Governing law and courts
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or connected with these Terms or our services. If you are a consumer, this clause does not deprive you of any mandatory protection or any right to bring proceedings in another court that applicable law gives you.
We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve a concern directly.
16. General provisions
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
